Mr. Schmidt is an experienced executive with significant experience in C-level positions as CEO, COO and CFO, along with operational roles in Manufacturing, Engineering, Finance, Business Development, Marketing and Sales, in both enterprise and entrepreneurial organizations.

Mr. Schmidt is a former IBM executive with over 25 years of consumer marketing, business management and venture startup experience. His experience and knowledge extend across a broad range of industries including advanced lighting, finance, networking, medical care delivery, medical devices, personal computing as well as emerging technology markets such as IoT, blockchain and cyptoassets.

Mr. Schmidt graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from North Carolina State University and earned an MBA Degree from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.
